It is better to travel hopefully than to arrive, they say. But I'm still looking for the bloody station.

The naked pine
This pine tree in Constantia Nek forest, with its root coiling down the bare rockface, is surely a remarkable testament to survival against the odds. I imagine some geological event exposed it to the world. Bet it was surprised .... Where to from here, I wonder?
Primarily a poet, published here and there. Two books (The Charlie Manson False Bay Talking Rock Blues and other Poems, Bateleur Press, A Book of Lives, Protea 2007). A very bored journalist trying to escape into screenwriting. Fond of ranting and romance, science fiction and fact, hazy grasp of contemporary realities. Strong interest in talented daughter and scary but wonderful grandchildren.

Ooh the rocky bit looks like chocolate cake. Is it wrong that everything reminds me of food? Probably.
I hadn't thought about it like that. Isn't it more like chocolate icing?
